New JnanaJyothi center

The JnanaJyothi center is shifted to a new spacious building. The present center is a two stored building which is more spacious and comfortable for the teachers and the students to conduct the classes and other activities.

         

                              
                  The new center is now equipped with a separate computer room for all the students.

BCT inaugurates Inchara

The 27^th of May was a memorable day for BCT Hubli as we inaugurated Inchara at the Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship, in Hubli. Through Inchara BCT reaches out to 200 orphan and vulnerable children and 67 mothers affected and infected by HIV in 27 villages of Dharwad district.

The guests of honour for the inauguration program were Dr. N.M Angadi, District Health Officer, Dharwad and Dr. Gururaj Deshpande, Trustee, Deshpande Foundation. Other guests were present on stage: Mr. B.S. Gomadi, ART Medical Officer, KIMS, Hubli, Dr. Jayashree Katvatti, Taluk Health Officer, Dharwad, Dr. Subhash Bhorakrwad, Taluk Medical Officer, Hubli, Mr. Naveen Jha, CEO of Deshpande Foundation India.

Preparation of Curriculum and Lesson Plan

Summer activities at JnanaJyothi center is coming to an end as schools are going to reopen. The children are going to miss all the fun and various activities done during the summer holidays which they cannot do now as they have to concentrate only on academic subjects. So the teachers at JnanaJyothi center with the help of the junior fellows of Deshpande Foundation are preparing a curriculum and lesson plan for each subject. The lesson plan is prepared in such a way that the children will learn a topic by doing some fun activity. This will not only help the children to understand a particular topic but it will also increase their creativity and thinking capacity.
The fun at JnanaJyothi center still continues as the children will learn their lessons by doing some fun activity.

BCT invites you to the inauguration of Inchara!

BCT's Inchara project inauguration on 27th May at the Deshpande center for Social Entrepreneurship in Hubli.

Dr Gururaj Deshpande, Trustee of Deshpande Foundation will be our guest and Dr Ashok Agarwal, Trustee of BCT will preside the function.

Summer activities at JnanaJyothi

Schools are closed until the end of May in Dharwad but the JnanaJyothi center doesn't close for holiday! Activities continue and the center is open to welcome girls in Khalgatgi. While spoken English and computer remain important daily activities there is space for fun with dance classes.
